My Ticket to the Disaster by Suzanne Berne is a very interesting story. It is about the site where the Twin Towers used to stand and how people have mixed feelings about the way people treat it. In the story, Berne describes her trip to the historic site in great detail. She explains how she went there and how you began to fall in love with how the area looks until you realize what had to happen for this site to exist, for example all the lives that were lost and all the families that will have to mourn their lost loved ones forever.

I feel the site should indeed be a place where tourists could visit. There are a couple reason why I think that. First, people who live outside of the United States doesn’t really know how much pain and torture the 9/11 attacks put our nation through so to have a location that shows the importance of those who passed away and celebrate their lives and show their not forgotten is imperative. Secondly, I think this site is also good for the families  directly affected by the attacks. Although visits their will always be extremely emotional, I think families knowing they will always have a spot to go pay respects is also good.
